Using domain forwarding with Multi-site setup

    I have a multisite wordpress install successfully working with sub-domains… ie (main site= mydomain.com 2nd site= mydomain.com/site2). All I am wanting to do is forward a domain someotherdomain.com to mydomain.com/site2.

    Let me just preface this by saying that I have forwarded domains before and know how that all works… just really new to the multisite setup for wordpress.

    So I have the someotherdomain.com set to forward to mydomain.com/site2 but WordPress is not allowing this and when typeing in someotherdomain.com, it stops it at the mysite.com without going to site2.

    Has anyone else experienced this and what fixes should I try?

    Fixed my own issue… Just installed the MU Domain Mapping plugin and added the forwarded domain under settings/domains and mapped that to the id of site2 and bingo it works.
