Coding stylesheet from my basic html template?

    Hi guys… I have an issue as I know very very little about CSS styling and was wondering if I could get a simple hand with this…
    I want a very simple design for the layout of my wordpress theme. Currently I have a naked theme installed and am trying to make it work.

    The HTML template I want it to look like is:

    While what I’ve got so far is: http://photographybasic.com

    So you can see the major problems LOL…..

    But I really am not a hopeless case! I just need some guidance.. I know this is a simple thing to code, but all the CSS and php stuff makes everything so much more confusing… the php in particular mixes me up soo much. If someone could give me a breakdown of how to code this… or lend me a hand with it, I would GREATLY appreciate you.

    Any help would be amazing… even just telling me how to code the Navmenu properly…
