Login – Password not required

There is no login required to view your blog, but there is a login required to access the administrator functions at /wp-admin/. If you’d like to password protect the directory that your blog is under (thus password protecting the blog), you can do that via .htaccess. See: http://www.javascriptkit.com/howto/htaccess3.shtml
