I have a lot of problems in 3 sites since updating.
My 1 site I did not update is running ok.
It’s just a real pain. Wish they would send another update to fix it.
Have you tried:
– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
– switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
– re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.
It didn’t resolve my problems, but since the update I am getting the following errors from all 3 updated sites on my host cgi-error log:
PHP Warning: Unknown: open(/var/php_sessions/sess_6388aaaa3f32a3a59290fb888a5ab936, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in Unknown on line 0
My session folder is empty, but does have the right permissions (0755).
I am curious to know what changed in the last update to cause this.
Nothing that’s session-related as far as I am aware. Have you tried:
– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

Yes I’ve tried several approaches but for some reason I was an idiot and did the most recent updates and the version is working even worse.
How would I deactivate the most recent two updates?
