Need a hand with facebook comments plugin

This is for my new site I just put together this weekend. I don’t know anything about PHP. I installed the plugin, and the area where they leave comments was ridiculously tiny, so I tried fixing that. I found a youtube video that seemed to explain exactly what I needed to do to get it to look at what I did.

I added two lines of code from the video (making sure to put in the proper APP ID) and, long story short, instead of fixing the comments section I had, it added a SECOND facebook comments section over the one I wanted to correct, leaving me with two different facebook comment sections.

I just need to remove the smaller one, can anyone give me a hand? Also, should it be set to automatically post to THEIR facebook wall, or do I want the comments to post on my page? I know its a preference thing, but I was just curious as to what the social norm is on the matter. 🙂
