Lots of people are looking for an image resizer.
To save space and band width I like Auto Image Resizer

It works with the media setting. Set the max size of your image and this plugin will reset the file size on upload if it exceeds the limits.

I manage blogs and have authors that just won’t resize monster images that are great for the printer but choke the life out of their blogs and make their readers wait for the images to download.

in ADMIN PLUGIN search for Auto Image Resizer and install
in ADMIN SETTINGS MEDIA set the max sizes and save. Upload a monster photo and see it get reduced to size – love it. Thank you Dennis http://dennishoppe.de/wordpress-plugins/auto-image-resizer
