Nextgen Shortcode not working

    I used the Nextgen gallery plugin with no problems on the site I developed. Then had to export/import to a new hosting co. – now the galleries will not show in the posts. Only the code [nggallery id=x] is showing on the website.

    wordpress ver – 3.1.3
    nextgen ver – 1.7.4

    is there a conflict with the latest version of WP or am I overlooking something else?
