    Hi,

So I have the multisite installed on our server. I have six blogs installed within. When I exported the xml for the blogs I got this error that most of the uploaded files were not imported. When I go to my blogs.dir folder all I see are numbers and year and other subfolders. I want to manually add the uploaded files from my old blogs to the multisite blogs but I can’t figure out where I should place them. I don’t know which folder # corresponds to which blog.

Can I just manually create an upload folder for each blog and place all my uploaded files there? I have a lot of images that aren’t showing up on my blogs because they are not on the uploaded files folder.

    No. Don’t do that.

Copy or move the files to wp-content/blogs.dir/#/files

Now, how do you know WHICH # to use? Go to Network Admin -> sites. Hover your mouse just below the path to your main blog and look at the URL you get. Should have a NUMBER in it. That’s your blog number 🙂 Don’t see it? That’s okay. Click on EDIT and look for Upload Path.

    That’ll have wp-content/blogs.dir/#/files 🙂
