I am looking to change the page template. Currently the page template has the user that posted the page and the day and comments closed. I wish to remove this information but not sure what file I need to edit.

Do you have a page.php file? If not, you need to create one, because it is defaulting to using the standard index.php. Just copy the index.php and save as page.php. Then delete the tags you don’t want.

I have a page.php file in the template folder. but it doesn’t have any of those tags.
