    After WP has been installed through fantisico how doed one log in?
    how does one know it has been installed properly? Should the database be installed before or after?

    By navigating to http://your_domain/wp-admin and using the username & password that Fantastico gave you when it completed the install.

    how does one know it has been installed properly?

    Have you tried visiting your own site yet?

    Should the database be installed before or after?

    Fantastico creates the database for you as part of the install process.

    Thank you so much Esmi. WordPress was installed and the login works..
    Hip Hip Horaay… Now all I have to do is do the upgrade to 3.1…
    There is no data worth saving on my 2.7 version.
    Should I just delete all the old wp files from my rood directory and install the latest 3.1…? The upgrade looks a little tricky…

    I was able to do the upgrade… i’m in now I just have to spend some time with themes and tools and links etc and figure out how everything works.
    I am very excited.
