That’s the post excerpt, which since it’s code, is being cut off. If you made manual excerpts, it’d be fine.
Hi, Ipstenu. Thanks for jumping in to help, but I’m not sure what you mean by making manual excerpts. I am not seeing that in my dashboard.
Since my posts were not showing up
Are you using a base64 plugin to incript data?
You should rename the plugins folder to so wp loads with no plugins and see if your posts and poster name, etc. show up.
When I go to http://www.rural-woman.com/Blog/category/dogs I see your posts. There’s some gunk part way down the page, but it’s from your post content being truncated.
To make a MANUAL excerpt, edit the post and there’s a field below the post content called ‘excerpt’. Put something in there like ‘This post is about fundraising for removing porcupine needles from dog’s noses.’ or something. That’ll show up on the category page.
the ‘html gobbledygook’ is the result of several plugins, hooking themselves into the excerpt as well as into the content of the posts;
double check the settings of the like, facebook, twitter, shareinpost, and chitika plugins, and don’t tick any ‘excerpt’ boxes …
