target paragraph of article

Hi,

I’m am using the “Thumbnail for Excerpts” plugin, and want the image to sit next to the article summary – so I have targeted the paragraph tag and given it a set width of 450px and floated it to the left (and floated image to the right) This layout works fine….

But now the image in the main article stretches in IE to 450px wide, as the image is wrapped around the paragraph tag.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I was thinking of wrapping a div tag just around the paragraph tag of the article and give the div a set width instead of the paragraph tag, but the div tag wraps around the whole post including title and article summary and image…and not just the paragraph tag…

I’m out of ideas. Hope someone can help
