Normally? Absolutely nothing. Are you sure you are logging into the right site?
Have you tried refreshing the page, or closing out of the window and reactivating everything? Sometimes it takes a browser a second or two (or a refresh or two) to update everything.
Thank you for your quick responses any help is much appreciated!
I have tried refreshing and I am pretty sure I am logging into the right site.
Now, I also have a blog that I have been maintaining for three years now. The site address is kalisasorexi.com and when I want to make changes, add a blog post, etc., etc., I just log into kalisasorexi.com/wp-admin
When setting up this new site, vistacontractingny.com the WordPress hosting options were suggesting to use vistacontractingny.com/wordpress/wp-admin to make changes, add posts, etc. Is this playing some role?
When I am using my dashboard to make changes and then clicking on the upper left hand corner to be taken to my site, it is using the URL http://www.vistacontractingny.com/wordpress/ as opposed to my site’s actual URL
Because that’s the site that you logged into. It appears that you have more than 1 WP install on vistacontractingny.com
But I just subscribed to WordPress hosting through my Domain manager as I did with my previous site.
I know I must sound pretty dense, but how do I get my site to use the vistacontractingny.com/wp-admin Dashboard as opposed to the vistacontractingny.com/wordpress/wp-admin Dashboard? I’m drawing a blank here … please help!!
WordPress hosting? Do you mean that these are wordpress.com sites?
