Trying to upload custom image to header

    I’m trying to upload a custom image to the twentyten theme header. The image is only 36KB and 427×198, so I don’t think that is the issue. However when I go to the “Crop Image” screen I get a red “x” in the picture frame. Can anyone assist with this?
