Text Widget not showing up

    I’m trying to add a text widget to the sidebar with a simple image and link and it doesn’t show up on the site. The widget and code do show up in the admin, but it doesn’t show up on the website. Is there some kind of cache that needs to be flushed?

    The site is http://www.jrcigarblogs.com/

    the html code in the text widget is

    The only text widget in your sidebar is completely empty.

    thanks for responding.

    In the admin it shows the html code above, so is there something I didn’t save that prevents it from showing on the site?

    Are you sure you saved the widget’s contents? Have you edited the theme at all?

    I think so. When I logged back in, the contents were still there. Haven’t edited the theme much past just changing the header image.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    I realize this is an old thread but it’s not solving the problem I’ve just encountered using the 2011 theme.
    I placed 3 widgets in the main side bar (using side bar template)all in one text box which are showing up nicely. However, when I try to add a fourth, it does not show when published.
    Soo…I added a further text box below the first one and placed the widget in it. But it’s not showing either.
    Any ideas??
