Hi! I am new to this web design thing. I am using bluehost as my site manager. I picked the yoko theme to start creating my site. The download was successful, but how do I apply it to the domain name and start my design? Please help. I am slowly chipping away at this.

    Thanks!

    Hi frenchies,

Your best bet is probably to log in to Bluehost and scroll down to where you see “Simple Scripts” under Services – click on it.

There you will see an option to install WordPress. You have the option of installing it under your primary domain name (leave as is), or add a folder name after the trailing “/” (i.e., http://www.yourdomainname.com/ADD_FOLDER_NAME_HERE”). [this option is used if you would like to have more than one web site under the same domain name]

Click on the Advanced option and input your own username and password. Click on ‘agree’ and you’re good to go.

Then you can add whatever theme you would like (e.g., Yoko) by either using the WordPress dashboard (Appearance/Install Themes and enter “Yoko”, then Activate) or by using a FTP program (i.e., Filezilla) to upload a theme from your desktop to the WordPress (wp-contents / themes) folder of your newly installed WP site at Bluehost.

    Hope this helps.
