Media Embed Size Not Matching Settings

    In the Settings » Media admin page I set the embed sizes as:

    Thumbnail size: Width 320 x Height 320
    Medium size: Max Width 300 x Max Height 300
    Large size: Max Width 640 x Max Height 0
    Maximum embed size : Width 640 x Height 0

    Yet when I upload an image the media library offers me these options:

    Thumbnail: 320×320
    Medium: 300×300
    Large: 620×620
    Full size: 1000×1000

    Why is the large size coming up as 620×620? Shouldn’t it be 640×640?
