plugin not working

    hi

    I have installed a smooth slider-slider plugin in my wordpress 2.8.6 website but when i activate the plugin it shows Fatal error: Call to undefined function add_theme_support() in home/babycars/public_html/#########.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/smooth-slider/includes/sslider-get-the-image-functions.php on line 27. can any one please help me how to go about it
