    Hi Folks – just wondering what the general ‘etiquette’ is with blogging.

    For example, say I notice an article in a newspaper, or another blog, am I allowed to summarise the original piece and link to it in my own blog? Just as an example… say a new species of monkey is announced in a scientific blog and I want to make my readers aware of it.. what is an acceptable way of doing it?

    Yes. 🙂 In fact, that’s the BEST way. If you choose to quote the source, make sure it’s clear it’s a quote. Standard journalism ideals apply 😉
