hyperlink

I am trying to create linked text on one of my pages, but it will not work.

I’m pretty confused at what happens here so I’ll list out a few examples.

On one page, I could not get enough spaces to show when I viewed the page:

If my text in the dashboard side looked like this- xxxx yyyy
it would still come out like this when viewed through browser- xxxx yyyy

Eventually I added   before my “yyyy” and it worked- however, now the &NBSP isn’t working (and they’ve disappeared from the dashboard editor, and now the spaces are working fine.

Another example is that I had created a hyperlink and it worked- however, now when I go to the actual page editor, I don’t see the hyperlink code, I just see the actual link; and now the hyperlinks I create in other pages aren’t working. When viewed through the browser, all I see is the hyperlink code.

Is there any weirdness I should know about? What can I be doing wrong?

The only thing I thought might be throwing it off is that the hyperlink text was after a bullet point, but I tried removing the bullet point and it still didn’t work out.
