Adding WordPress authentication to an app

    Hi All,

    I have a home grown PHP app on a site that uses WordPress 3.1.1 and I would like to use the WordPress admin and editor authentication for access to the app. Currently the app has its own authentication that I would prefer to scrap in favour of the WordPress. In a scene providing single sign-on from WordPress. I do not need any other integration as I run this app in an IFRAME in WordPress.

    I am hoping that there is a simple function call or cookie to read that will provide this.

    I have average PHP skills and always looking to learn, so any tips, how-to’s or pointers would be great.

    Hi,

    I know bumping is not allowed but this question has been open for over a month now with no replies.
