Caption CKEditor work around question.

Hi all,
I never noticed before but I went to an old post to edit a sentence and after I re-published it I noticed the caption was missing on a photo. After some research I found that that the original post was edited with WordPress and I had added the CKEditor plugin later and there was a known problem with CKEditor and captions.

So what I have been doing to get around this, is deactivation the CK plugin, edit photo with caption then publish. Then re-activate the plugin.

The question is, does this activation/deactivation cause any problems. I only do this if I need to caption which luckily is not that often.
