    Hi

I have setup the database in myphpadmin as PRESS, unzipped the wordpress folder in wamp/www/press/. It picks it up in phpmyadmin http://localhost under your projects, when i click on PRESS in there the screen goes blank, Its supposed to bring me to an install windows. This is on my home PC.

I have installed it at work and it installed well.

    What could this problem be?

, unzipped the wordpress folder in wamp/www/press

Check if have folder called wordpress in press folder

If you unzip wordpress.zip in wamp/www then you will have wordpress in root www.

I have tried that now, still the same. Could it be something wrong with firefox and flock? Maybe i should reinstall wamp Server.

Hi, I have the same problem and I would love to hear if there is any solution.

    I’m working with wapm5:
    Apache 2.2.17
    PHP 5.3.4
    MySQL 5.1.53
My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

I have created the database for wordpress.
I have unzipped the wordpress folder in wamp/www/
    I have tried:
1.- http://localhost/ under your projects click wordpress
2.- http://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php (previously I have changed wp-config-sample to wp-config and replaced database name, as it was all I needed)

In both cases It apparently begins to do something and below it says “Waiting for localhost …”, but after more than 3 minutes continue to do nothing and below it says ” Done “

I have researched over the last 2 days and I could not find the cause.

Thanks in advance for your help..

I managed to make it work. I copied the wordpress folder in the php folder. I had setup it up in dreamweaver as my php test server http://localhost/php/wordpress/wp-login.php

Hi danfix, thanks for the reply but I’m not sure what I have to do.
I’m sorry if my questions seem silly, but I don’t know much (actually almost nothing) and I’m trying to learn.
Where did you copy the wordpress folder?, in C:/wamp/bin/php/php5.3.4 ?
I don’t understand what did you do.

You need to add wordpress in www folder not bin

    Hi danfix
I could not answer before, I thank you for trying to help, but I’ve tried all that you tell me.
My problem is that when I start the wp-config, no matter where, nothing happens and I have no error that tells me what may be happening.
I think there may be a permissions conflict, but as I said, I have no error, so I don’t know what is happening.
I’m sorry but english is not my language, so ..
    Thanks any way.
