  • hummm did you searched the forum ? looks like this other topic : http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-frontpage-slideshow-buttons-being-blacked-out?replies=6

Same issue, same fix : try to change the width of buttons and slide (its all about css and the way the browsers are interpreting it, not the plugin 😉 )

thanks for the reply! I did see that and tried changing the percentages from 70% 30% to 69% 31%, but that didn’t work. Any other thoughts?

Ah ha! Got it! For anybody else who happens to be reading this, here’s the mistake I made:

I had the full, detailed shortcode in my page (as opposed to the default [FrontpageSlideshow]. So of course when I updated the options, it didn’t overwrite the short code that was already in my page. I changed the shortcode to the default [FrontpageSlideshow] and then I could make updates.

I did finally adjust the percentages so that they totaled 99.5% instead of 100%, and that fixed the problem. There’s a small gap between the buttons and the images, but I can live with that if I have to.

Great plugin. Thanks! See my finished result at http://www.vergent.net

So, it was exactly the same problem : percents are tricky, try to use px when you got troubles or a complex tree of containers or complex CSS.
