WP 3.1 breaks my ext cookie authentication plugin

    I’m using an external cookie and db to authenticate the WP users against – if they don’t exist they are added into WP users – since 3.1 they have removed the wp-includes/registration.php file (deprecated it) so can someone tell me what functions I use to register users now ?
