How to move the blog to another page so I can make my own 'home' page.

I am using the theme Pilcrow 1.0 by Automattic. I would like to create a page called ‘blog’ and move my blog there. Because I would like to create my own ‘home’ page. So when people view the open my website it opens on a static home page that I can edit, and then if they want to read my blog they can go to the page called ‘blog’. I am new to coding, so hope this makes sense.
