date format doesn't accept \\t\\h\\i\\s?

Hi all,

sure I’m missing something, but don’t know what.

I’m trying to customize date format at settings->general (translated from spanish wp sorry). I checked http://codex.wordpress.org/Formatting_Date_and_Time to config my format string, but if I try to insert words using \\, I get this:

“Y/m/d \\a\\t g:i A” turns to “2011/03/24 \\pm\\31 10:21 PM”

Any help please?
