    Hi –

I’m thinking of converting ot multisite and I had a question before I do.

If I want to upload a page template to a theme, do I have to do this individually to each site I’m running or is there one central Theme directory that I could load it to?

I guess I’m asking…Does each site have its own theme directory or is there just one?

    Thanks for your help!
    Marc

  • you add themes through the network admin – then network enable them to make them available for each site
each site has it’s own theme section to work with

Thanks, but if I wanted to add a custom page template and wanted available to all sites, do I have to upload it to each site or is can I just put it in the ‘main’ themes folder.

Is there one theme folder for the entire network or does each site get their own themes folder?

Themes are per network, but each site can choose which one of your active themes to use.

If you want something in ALL themes, you have to add it in ALL themes, regardless of site.

there’s ONE themes folder for all sites.

If you;re adding a page template to a specific theme, ALL sites using that theme get it. Because there’s one physical copy of that theme.

Thank you! That answers my questions!
