Javascript box useless for delete confirmation

At least in firefox it is. In Internet Explorer it works fine as expected. In firefox it will process twice it seems. Once for the actual click and once for the javascript box. The problem it seems is that once you click OK the action was already processed from clicking delete in the first place. I will try and hunt down the cause of this glitch but if anyone else is getting errors on post or comment deletion when using Firefox then respond. I am using Firefox 1.0.3 w/Tabbrowser extensions.
