HTTP Basic Authentication (401) Plugin available?

    Hello,
    I run WP-Multisite (subdirectory-install)

    I have some dozen domains I host with a single WP-MS 3.1 installation.
    For development and feedback from client, I usually HTTP-Auth Protect each Website till everything is as the client expects, then remove the 401-auth to make it world-viewable.
    With Apache .htaccess-config I can protect either ALL domains with HTTP Basic Auth, or NONE at al.

    So I am wondering whether there’s a HTTP-Auth (401) Plugin available?
    So I can enable the auth on some domains only.

    Is there any WP-plugin for this?
