streaming video

So I’ve spent about a week trying to figure this out. It seems that every time I try to follow a step by step tutorial I run into a hurdle that I can’t get over.

I want to stream a video on our site. If I just type the url of the video into the browser it will pop up and play as a Quicktime movie but I can’t get any of the embedded players to work.

Right now I have Kimili Flash embed plugin installed but when I put the path to the video in I just get a white box.

This is what I think is happening – right now the video is a .mpg. I guess I need to convert it into a .swf or .fvl or something. Is that correct?

That’s where I run into problems.
