• Hello,

I just installed the WordPress “Twenty Ten” Theme. When I make a post, this garbage gets inserted:

How on Earth do I Keep this litter from ever appearing on my post pages? I didn’t type those words. I didn’t “authorize” WordPress to type words onto the page that I myself did not type. I see it as clutter and obnoxious graffiti. It might be “ok” for a “newspaper” type of site, where you are trying to look “current” and stuff. I’m trying to create pages that have nothing to do with “today” or “tomorrow” or “who authored the page” or “what category it’s in”.

Setting the CSS to visibility hidden is NOT an option. Google can perceive that as a blackhat SEO trick where you are trying to hide something from the visitors that the searchbots see.

I want to remove that stuff from the WordPress loops so they never even think of attempting it in the first place.

What *exact* files is this auto-insert stuff in? What are the exact lines of code?

What official WordPress does not have this infomation forced into each post?

I find searching for information impossible on this site. The information is old and scattered. I’m looking for a direct and current answer to my specific question.
