Hello, I am adding a new category to my blog, actually I want to add about 4 categories, and when I went to the categories page I saw this: Slug, with the following description under the box: The “slug” is the URL-friendly version of the name. It is usually all lowercase and contains only letters, numbers, and hyphens.
Not certain what that means and is it necessary? If so, what or how do I do what it says?
    All help greatly appreciated.

  • the slug is the part that will go in your URL

    It is important

it is what will display in your url

So you want a category named: Our Products

the slug may only be: products

Then when a post from that category is viewed, the url may be
    domain.com/date/products/post name
