Hello. I think I made it all the way through the “5-minute” install steps, however, when I plug in the install script, which for me is “http://www.andanzas.com/wp-admin/install.php” it does not take me to an installation page. It takes me to the page it has always been. The host I’m using is mydomain.com. Can anyone please tell me where I’m going wrong? THANK YOU!!

  • The name servers are not pointing correctly or more likely your host just changed them or you did. 8-24 hours to populate.

You normally could check this by signing into your account with mydomain.com and check the status of your domain.

Or the host needs to take out the index.html file so the php file will work correctly.

    Thank you for responding.

Do you know what to change the name servers to in order to make this work? When I checked, there were 3 name servers — NS1.MYDOMAIN.COM, NS2.MYDOMAIN.COM, and NS3.MYDOMAIN.COM. Does that sound right to you?

OR, how should I take out the index.html file? Is this something that is done in Filezilla?

    Thank you.

The name servers sound correct to me. I know nothing about filezilla. But if you can see the index.html file just change its name.

YES done in filezilla; in the folder you installed wordpress find that index.htm or index.html and delete it if found

I think the problem was, in fact, the name servers, which SHOULD HAVE been ns1.mydomainwebhost.com etc. I also deleted the index.html file. Thank you for your help! I’m one step closer!
