I remember that post.

Remember how you were having issues with your plugin? I still think that WP Robots is related. If it’s autoposting, and your site is hanging, then TURN IT OFF. See if the site returns back to normal usage. If it does, there you are. Can’t hurt to try.
ok, i will try that tonite if thats the case i will be very unhappy seeing that i paid for that plugin, however my buddy has a dedicated server offsite and his works no problem 🙁
I said it before and I’ll say it again.
If your PAID product breaks, you get in contact with the people you paid and get them to help you.
Just do the first step of debugging. Sort out WHAT isn’t working. The number one reason WordPress borks is bad themes and bad plugins. If you’re unwilling to turn off plugins and flip to the default theme, there is very little we can do to help you.
ok wordpress robot is deactivated, Ipstenu can you try to go to my site(s)?

thank you for your help i appreciate it!!
now i know why im not getting traffic!!
my next question is how do i go about fixing this, do i change the dns’s i have in my router? should i use googles DNS’s
Well. It may be the software still, y’know.
You need to figure out why it can’t resolve your DNS. I don’t know what they should be, since I don’t know your setup. BUT. If you’re pointing your domain name to your home server, then the IP may have changed, and that could cause this.
i have comcast modem which is connected to a router which then forwards to my server
i thought my external ip address is static however i should check that
instead of using the ip address how can i set it up to use the domain name from comcast
my router is a linksys wrt54g model running dd-wrt firmware i would rather use a dns name instead of an ip address just to avoid the changes of ip’s
instead of using the ip address how can i set it up to use the domain name from comcast
Ask Comcast.
yea… they wont help lol ill figure out
Alas, it’s not something I know. You could try googling around, but that’s a pretty specific ISP question.
