• Hey All,

So I have a site with 5 pages on the menu: Home, About, Contracts, Transactions, Schedule. Home is where the articles/posts will go, and I want comments on the posts. But I don’t want comments to be allowed to be input on About, Contracts, Transactions, or Schedule. Is there a hack to make comments unavailable to be posted on those pages but allowed on the main page and its posts?

Currently, if someone goes to comment on one of the other pages, it tells me the comment is in moderation. I’d like to just make it so they can’t comment on those pages, period.

  • there are setting options when you create/edit your pages; scroll down past the custom fields, and look for ‘discussion’

general advice: get familiar with all the options and settings in the dashboard

i don’t have a discussion at the end of the page or anywhere else. the theme i have chosen is evolve, could it be that i can’t chose to not have comments?

the ‘discussion’ field might be hidden – click ‘screen options’ near the top right of that page, then tick the ‘discussion’ box to show the ‘discussion’ field below the page editor, where you can then enable/disable comments.

    thank you!!! :-))) it worked!!!
