• Hi,

I tried to view my webpage (aerogaurd.co.uk) today but saw the “Error Establishing a Database Connection” message. So I followed a helpful Youtube clip to check that all my DB_ details were correct in wp-config.php.
I found that they weren’t & edited username & password with smug confidence that I had it licked. Wrong! Now I just get the classic white screen, it’s everywhere. All my admin pages are white. I have tried disabling plugins etc but am convinced my changes to wp-config.php must be the problem. But just can’t fix it. Does anyone have any good next steps?
    Thank you,
    Chris

  • Try confirming your database access details with your hosts. Then try creating your wp-config.php file from scratch using wp-config-sample.php as a template.

    Thanks esmi.
I contacted my host and they found my database was corrupt.
Re-installed everything & so far so good!
