Funny Issue with the_excerpt

    For some reason I’m having a weird issue with the_excerpt() and even get_the_excerpt() on my search page. You can see it on a search for “beef” here.

    The odd thing is, the templates are the same as the taxonomy-ingredient.php page here.

    There doesn’t seem to be any difference in anything that I can spot between say “the Beef Stroganoff with Peas” and the “Minted Pea Couscous” for instance, yet the Stroganoff doesn’t show the excerpt (but shows it fine on the taxonomy – meat page.

    Is there anything that would cause this? I’m stumped.

    Found it. We’re using Relanvssi plugin for searches and it wasn’t showing excerpts that didn’t have the keywords.

    I can spend 2 hours not figuring something out and post a question and the next thing I do is figure the problem out. 🙂
