Image sizing

    Quick question about image sizing.

    I uploaded a photo to my website using wordpress and selected the large image button, image should be 750px wide (that is the size of the original) but it is displaying at 415px? Stranger yet, if I view the HTML via the browser it states the width at 415px but the HTML of the actual post shows 750px. Any suggestions.

    please help me,
    Just added a second image and changed the width to 1000px to see what would happen and it stretched the image but didn’t physically change the width, its still at 415px. As if there is a maxium width allowed in the column or something. HELP!
