[Plugin: Rotating Posts] Can rp_content custom field use php function calls?

I tried plain txt and html and it works. What I don’t know is if one can insert shortcodes “[shortcode]” or can we insert php calls like “get php_excerpts();” without the quotes.

I would like to use the rp_contents custom field to automatically insert the posts excerpts from within the posts without disturbing the core plug-incode.

It is really a hassle to double copy paste the excperts with the same content on the rp_content custom field.
