LDAP Server Integration

My company uses WordPress for our in-office intranet site as a CMS. We post message on there, certain documents like employee policies, and maintain a centralized calendar. As the administrator of this CMS, I would like to integrate our LDAP server so a user can simply type in another employee’s first or last name to get his/her e-mail address, title, extension, etc. Ideally, I’d like to put a search box in a new page that is able to talk to our Exchange 2007 server and pull in the LDAP information.

There are several tools for LDAP authentication on a WordPress CMS, but nothing I can find for simply searching an LDAP directory and showing the information to a user.

Any ideas about this? Thank you for your attention to my question.
