• Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue on a WordPress site where the “Automatic updates” column has disappeared completely from the Plugins dashboard (wp-admin/plugins.php).

I tried checking the Screen Options panel in the top-right corner to toggle the column back on, but the “Automatic updates” checkbox is not listed there either (the only column option displayed under “Columns” is “Description”).

Any insights on what hook, transient, or configuration to check to restore the default auto-updates column would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

There could be several reasons for this. For example, if automatic updates are disabled in general. This can be achieved, for instance, using the AUTOMATIC_UPDATER_DISABLED constant. It might be in your wp-config.php file – take a look there.

It can also be affected by plugins, since there are actually several hooks for this. As a test, try deactivating individual plugins or even all of them if you can’t immediately identify the culprit.

You can also hide the column using CSS, but that would be unusual.

    Thank you for your replay,

I believe this is due by WordPress automation bv Installatron from my hosting … I will open a ticket and see how to bypass this issue

    Thank you again
