I’m encountering a sitewide issue with Elementor. Whenever I click “Edit with Elementor” from my Pages directory, the editor refuses to load properly. The main content preview area shows up, but the left-hand panel with all the Elements remains greyed out with a spinning circle. It affects every page. I’ve put it in safe mode and it works fine. I deactivated all plugins other than Elementor, but that didn’t help. I also tried running the site in an incognito window, and still get the same thing. Can anyone help?

    Hi there,

Thanks for contacting us and hope you are doing well and having a great day.

To rule out the possibility of a plugin or theme conflict, please deactivate all your plugins not just elementor addons (besides Elementor). If it solves the issue reactivate them one by one to find the culprit. If it didn’t help, switch your theme (temporarily) to a default WP theme such as Twenty Nineteen and see if it makes any difference.

Also, this could happen due to our Elementor performance experiments you can try to deactivate them. To deactivate them you can go to Elementor > settings > features
Performance features currently in the experimental stage are:

Element Caching – Elements caching reduces loading times by serving up a copy of an element instead of rendering it fresh every time the page is loaded. When active, Elementor will determine which elements can benefit from static loading – but you can override this.

I am looking forward to hearing back from you soon.

    Kind regards

Thanks for the quick reply. I tried to deactivate all plugins, but nothing changes. I disabled the element caching and still no change. The only way I’m able to do anything is in safe mode.

    Hi @jcrinc
Can you please also try changing the theme of the site?
After that please confirm if the PHP Memory limit of the server is set to 512M.

Hi. I did change the theme of the site and it worked fine. I’m using the Sydney theme. I am having trouble updating the Sydney theme and have contacted them. I also contacted my host to raise the PHP Memory from 128 to 512.

    Hi there,

Thanks for contacting us, and I hope you are doing well and having a great day.

If you can confirm that the problem occurs with the theme you are currently using.
My recommendation in this case, since it is a 3rd-party theme and we do not have access to its code, is to contact the developers of your theme to figure out how to resolve this.

There may be a compatibility issue with the latest version of Elementor or some other third-party plugin you are using. The developers of your theme should be able to assist you further with this issue.
Additionally, if you would like a more seamless experience with Elementor, we recommend switching from the current theme to the Hello Elementor theme.

We’re here for you if you have any further questions.

    Best regards

Our problem is resolved! Turns out there was some malware that attached itself via a plugin. Our hosting company found it, reset everything, and we’re back up and running smoothly. Thank you for trying to help.
