Hi there, I’m having a look at a few event/calendar plugins to evaluate which will work best for me. I don’t usually look at plugins which don’t already have an established amount of users and reviews however I’m prepared to widen the search on this one to try and get closer to what I would like. Out of interest do you think you might be able to add the following:

    • option to wrap event names in calendar monthly view so that the whole event name (especially longer ones) can be seen?
    • use a 24 hour time rather than 9:00 am/pm.
    • have colours associated with event categories and the option to add these colours as the background colour behind or as a vertical line before the event details in calendar view.

Other than that your plugin is looking good at the moment and doesn’t seem to be causing any conflicts etc.

    Hi there,

Thanks so much for taking the time to try out Eventward and send through the suggestions!

Funny timing, these were actually about 90% done when your message came through, so your feedback gave me the final push to get them finished off and pushed out this morning in Eventward 0.5.5.

    All three are now available:

    • An option to show the full event name in the monthly calendar view
    • A 24-hour time format option
    • Event category colours, which can be displayed either as a coloured line beside the event or as the event background in the month and week views

You’ll find the display options under Events > Settings > Calendar, and the individual colours can be set under Events > Categories.

Really appreciate the feedback, particularly while Eventward is still new and finding its feet. Suggestions like these are incredibly useful and help me make it into something genuinely useful rather than just another calendar plugin!

Thanks again for giving it a go, and please keep the ideas coming.

    Cheers,
    Jason
