    Useful plugin, but the Facebook feed does not refresh automatically

    I really like this plugin and would like to keep using it. I am currently using the new version of Easy Social Feed (version 6.7.10). The Facebook feed itself works well and is a useful way for me to show Facebook posts on my website.

    However, I have noticed that new Facebook posts are not being updated automatically. My caching setting is set to “Every 1 hour”, but new posts can remain missing from the website for several hours or even days.

    When I go to the plugin settings and click “Clear All Caches”, all missing Facebook posts appear immediately. I have experienced this issue more than once.

    It seems that retrieving the posts works correctly, but the automatic cache refresh is not working as expected.

    I’m sharing this as constructive feedback because I really like the plugin and hope this can be looked into. Having the feed update automatically according to the selected caching interval would make it much more reliable.

    Thank you for the kind words and for sharing this so clearly. We’re sorry the Facebook feed isn’t updating on the interval you expect.

    To dig into this properly on your site, could you please go to your WordPress dashboard → Easy Social Feed → Contact Us, and send us a message from there with temporary admin login details (shared securely through that form)? That way we can check the feed and caching behavior directly on your instance.

    In the meantime, Clear All Caches (or clearing cache for that feed) should bring in the missing posts when you need them right away. We’ll also keep testing the automatic refresh on our side and follow up once we have more to share.

    Thank you again for reporting this and for your patience.

    We looked into the Facebook feed cache refresh issue and have released a fix in version 6.8.1. Please update the plugin to the latest version, then check whether new Facebook posts appear according to your selected caching interval without needing Clear All Caches.

    If anything still looks off after updating, reply here or reach us via Dashboard → Easy Social Feed → Contact Us and we’ll take another look.
