• I’m webmaster for 300+ member craft guild and send a monthly newsletter. One Gmail user swears she doesn’t receive it, that it’s not in spam/promotions, etc. This is two months now of no receipt to only this one subscriber. I have triple-double-checked that her email is correct in subscriber list, and we correspond about the issue using that email, so it’s valid. ETA-1 and no bounced emails reported by MP. ETA-2 oddly, the Activity screen shows that she opened the email — but it also shows that I opened my copy, and my copy is sitting unopened in my Gmail inbox.. So Activity screen data is suspect.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi @sydnie7,

Thanks for the detailed report. I’m sorry this member keeps missing the newsletter.

For a single subscriber, the most useful thing is for us to look up that address in our sending logs. That shows whether the email was accepted by Gmail, and whether the address is on a block or suppression list on our end. That means sharing the subscriber’s email address, which shouldn’t be posted on a public forum.

    Please make sure to include:

    • your MailPoet.com account email address
    • the affected subscriber’s email address
    • your MailPoet System Info (MailPoet → Help → System Info)
    • a link to this forum thread

About the Activity screen: an “opened” entry means a tracking image in that email was loaded, so the message most likely reached the inbox. Gmail sometimes loads images on its own, though, so an open isn’t 100% proof that the person saw it. While you wait for us, it’s worth asking the member to check Settings → Filters and Blocked Addresses for anything that might be archiving or deleting your emails.
