• There are other cache warmer plugins, but this one is so much more polished. It even runs a quick check on the server configuration to determine how fast the cache warming should run. It also allows you to choose which post types and archive pages you want to pre-warm, and how frequently. I’ve set this up with a few sites now some using the xSpeed Cache plugin, and some using the CDN supplied by my hosting company (20i). In both cases it works like a charm – much better than the prewarmer in the xSpeed caching plugin. I’m going to start adding this to a lot of sites from now on. Really grateful to the developer for this plugin – highly recommended.

    Hey Titus,

Thanks for the review on our plugin and your kind words. I’m really glad you are enjoying using the plugin and that it’s working well for you! Please let me know if you find any issues or if it’s missing anything.

20i is an incredible host, you might find my other plugin (ABCode Improved Caching for 20i Stack Cache) really useful too. It improves how the cache clearing works allowing you to clear the cache for just one page rather than the whole site and also works with the cache warmer to trigger a cache warm for that one page too. You leave the Stack Cache plugin on, this is just an enhancement for it.

    Thanks,
    Ash

    Hi Ash

Yes, I had spotted your plugin for improved caching on 20i – I’m in the process of experimenting with that at the moment (I’ll try and drop a review on that one as well shortly). The option to clear the cache of individual pages is a huge bonus – especially on large sites. Thank you so much for distributing these for free – it is hugely appreciated.

    Many thanks
    Titus
