• Hello! A message appeared when publishing the post, stating that you need to select a category, but the category was already selected when creating the post. Also, when creating the post — that is, when clicking the /add post/ button — the category block takes a long time to search (the circle spins for about ten seconds), after which the categories appear. The question is: should we pay attention to this message?

  • Hi @andronasis,

Are there a lot of categories crated? If yes, how many are there? Can you also check if there are any console errors via your browser? That would also help in ruling out if there are any errors that might have a role with the dealy in showing up the category and the message.

Please check this URL on how to use the browser console:

My blog has 12 main categories and 63 subcategories, for a total of 75 categories.
I just noticed that an error occurs on a category that is set as the main one in the WordPress settings. If you select a different category when editing a post, there is no message saying that the category has not been selected.
There is an error in the console. /

    Hi @andronasis,

The issue looks more like a conflict as suggested above. You can try setting up a staging site and check whether you could run a conflict test as suggested to see if that helps in ruling out the issue.

You can check with the Hosting provide if they provide a staging site, or can use any of the staging plugins as follows:
