daf extension

    I noticed that the backup now has a .daf extension instead of .zip, and I can no longer extract the file. How can I extract .daf files on Windows?

    Thanks for reaching out!

    The .daf extension means DupArchive was selected as your archive engine in Duplicator’s settings, that’s why your backup is no longer in .zip format.

    If you’d prefer .zip backups, you can switch back by going to Duplicator > Settings > Backups > Archive Engine and selecting ZipArchive. Future backups will then be created in .zip format, which you can extract normally on Windows.

    Thank you for the information, I switched back to zip, that’s indeed easier to extract on windows.
