    Hi Spectra Team,

I found a possible bug when using the native WordPress YouTube block inside a Spectra Container.

    Issue

The native WordPress YouTube block works correctly when it is placed outside a Spectra Container. However, when the same YouTube block is moved inside a Spectra Container, the video does not render/display correctly.Steps to Reproduce

    1. Create a new WordPress page/post.
    2. Add the native WordPress YouTube block.
    3. Add this YouTube URL:
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxxx
    4. The YouTube video works correctly.
    5. Add a Spectra Container.
    6. Move the same YouTube block inside the Spectra Container.
    7. The YouTube video no longer renders correctly.

    Expected Behavior

The native WordPress YouTube block should behave identically whether it is placed directly on the page or inside a Spectra Container.Actual Behavior

The YouTube block works outside the Spectra Container but fails to render correctly when placed inside the Spectra Container.

This suggests that the Spectra Container may be affecting the YouTube block’s iframe, dimensions, CSS, or JavaScript behavior.

Could you please investigate whether there is a compatibility issue between the Spectra Container and the native WordPress YouTube block?

    Thank you.

    Hi @justyup,

Thank you for reaching out with the steps so clearly. It made this easy to follow, and I understand how confusing it is when a video simply vanishes.

This is a known issue. The video is still on the page, but it renders at zero width when the Spectra Container uses the Flex layout, so all you see is a space where it should be.

You can get the video showing again by changing the container layout:

    1. Select the Spectra Container that holds the YouTube block.
    2. Go to Style Settings > Layout, and change the layout from Flex to Flow.
    3. Update the page and check it on the frontend.

Any layout other than Flex works as well, so feel free to pick whichever suits that section best.

The underlying bug is already on our to do list, and we will fix it so the YouTube block works inside a Flex container too. I will update this topic once the fix is released.

Please give that a try and let me know how it goes. We are here to help if you run into any issues.

    Have a great day ahead!
